Your behavioral scientist knowledge and consulting expertise, coupled with an original approach to your work, will help clients and stakeholders make sense of their data and encourage actionable results. We’re looking for someone like you to steer complex data exploration and analytics projects through your experience with conducting research in target areas and provide analysis and reports reflecting findings and detailing recommendations, insights, and feedback.
As a behavioral research scientist, you love diving into health data and turning it into meaningful insights. With the abundance of complex behavioral health challenges facing the Nation, you understand the importance of transforming complex information and data sets into useful information to solve challenges. As a behavioral research scientist at Booz Allen, you can use your skills and experience to support a mission and use behavioral science for good.
As a client-facing behavioral scientist, you’ll work closely with your clients to understand their questions and needs and then develop evidence-based processes, findings, and recommendations. You’ll be ahead of the curve and work closely with data scientists and data engineers to inform the analysis of large data sets and make meaning of findings to make a positive impact on the wellbeing of others.
How You'll Contribute:
Use your behavioral science expertise to support client and stakeholder relationships.
Conduct research in target areas and provide analysis and reports reflecting findings and detailing recommendations, insights, and feedback.
Contribute to impactful work and guide decision-making across multiple organizations.
Apply consulting skills and behavioral science expertise by simplifying technical requirements and trends, based on audience.
Present findings and recommendations to clients and stakeholders using your knowledge of behavioral science.
Establish quantitative and qualitative metrics and key performance indicators to drive technical outcomes.

You Have:
4+ years of experience in behavioral research science
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
Ability to be self-motivated and pay strict attention to detail
Ability to obtain a Secret clearance
Bachelor's degree in a Behavioral Science, Psychology, Sociology, Statistics, or Counseling field
Nice If You Have:
Knowledge of statistical analysis techniques and how to apply them to large datasets
Knowledge of the DoD behavioral health challenges, including those affecting the Service member and their families
Possession of strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills
Clearance:
Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $75,600.00 to $172,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
