About The Position
Job Title: Rad Tech - Kennestone-Radiology-Days Job Specialty: Imaging Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day (United States of America) Guaranteed Hours: Not specified Experience: Minimum 2 years as an RT License: ARRT Radiography Certifications: Basic Life Support or BLS - Instructor Must-Have: ACLS, NIHSS Job Description:- Must be flexible with work hours to meet department needs- Assist with providing safe, age-appropriate care to patients by performing all exams according to department procedures- Possess knowledge and ability to obtain a quality diagnostic study safely- Perform a wide variety of technical procedures independently with judgment, ingenuity, and initiative- Set up equipment and position patients for procedures- Act as a clinical coordinator for imaging students, including providing constructive criticism and feedback- Demonstrate competence in adjusting techniques to minimize radiation exposure while maintaining quality images- Obtain complete clinical history and assess for contraindicating conditions- Ensure patient identification, treatment, and care are done accurately and per policy- Administer contrast media following established procedures to ensure patient safety and comfort- Participate in orientation and training of departmental employees- Produce high-quality images and ensure equipment is operational and calibrated- Maintain patient privacy, comfort, and care according to departmental standards- Transport and assist patients during procedures- Communicate clearly with patients, families, and medical staff- Maintain productivity, quality, and safety standards- Perform all duties in compliance with hospital policies and professional standards
