Medical Assistant Position Summary

As a member of the care team, the Medical Assistant works to provide patient-centered care delivery. The MA provides initial preparation of patients prior to the provider’s encounter, including pre-charting, rooming and taking vitals. The MA assists providers in patient care activities as directed; updates/documents and records in the EHR system; orders and restocks exam rooms and office supplies as needed, and performs additional duties including answering the clinical phone line, triaging patient calls, scheduling procedures and some prior authorizations. 

Medical Assistant Position Requirements

  • Previous physician office experience preferred.
  • Experience with electronic health record preferred.
  • High School graduate or equivalent required.
  • Graduate of an approved Medical Assistant program preferred.
  • Medical Assistant certification preferred; medical terminology preferred
  • Strong typing, spelling and grammar skills required.

Medical Assistant Work Schedule

  • Monday through Friday, Day Shift

Medical Assistant Benefits 

  • At TidalHealth, full-time employees working at least 80 hours per pay period and part-time employees working at least 40 hours per pay period are eligible for benefits.

Salary range: $16.72 - $23.41  Commensurate with experience
