The position involves teaching the first- and/or second-semester writing courses (WSC 001 or WSC 002) in the Hofstra College of Liberal Arts and Sciences during the fall 2025 semester. There may also be opportunities to teach professional business writing and public speaking.Qualifications:A master’s degree in composition, English, creative writing, or a similar field is required.Preferred Quals Summary:Experience in teaching composition at the college level is strongly preferred.Special Instructions:Applications should be submitted electronically and include the following:Cover letter including a discussion of your approach to teaching expository writingCVSample syllabus and assignment for a first-year writing course.After an interview, please be prepared to submit official transcripts and three letters of recommendation.
