Job Description: Speech-Language Pathologist

Location: Goose Creek, SC

Position Overview:

We are looking for a skilled and compassionate Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our educational team in Goose Creek, SC. The successful candidate will work with students who have a range of speech, language, and communication challenges, helping them to improve their abilities and achieve academic success. This role involves assessment, therapy, collaboration, and consultation with teachers and families.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough evaluations to identify speech, language, and communication disorders.
  • Design and implement personalized treatment plans for each student.
  • Provide individual and group therapy sessions based on student needs.
  • Collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to support student progress.
  • Keep detailed records of student progress and modify treatment plans as necessary.
  • Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings, offering expert recommendations.
  • Provide training and resources to teachers and parents on speech and language development.
  • Stay updated with the latest research and techniques in speech-language pathology.
Required Qualifications:
  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
  • Valid state license to practice as a Speech-Language Pathologist in South Carolina.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
  • Prior experience in a school setting is preferred.
  • Strong diagnostic and therapeutic skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Dedication to continuous professional development and staying informed on best practices.
