Job Description:

Soliant Education is seeking a dedicated and experienced Special Education Teacher for an exciting opportunity in the Addison, TX area. This full-time, on-site position is available for the 2024-2025 school year, with ASAP interviews scheduled. The role involves working with elementary-aged students in a self-contained classroom setting.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs.
  • Create a supportive, inclusive classroom environment tailored to the needs of each student.
  • Deliver instruction in core academic subjects and life skills, adapting teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of students.
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and parents to ensure student success.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, making adjustments to instruction as needed.
  • Manage classroom behavior and implement behavior intervention plans as necessary.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with state and federal regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Special Education or a related field.
  • Valid Texas teaching certification in Special Education.
  • Experience working in a self-contained classroom setting is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of IEP development and implementation.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • A patient, compassionate approach to working with students with diverse needs.

  • Elementary-age self-contained classroom.
