Cardiac Sonographer Registered, PRN

JOBPURPOSE:
Perform inpatient and/oroutpatient cardiac ultrasound testing to include 2D echo /Doppler
exams with bubble study, contrast as well aslimited studies for cardiac function, effusion
assessmentand thrombus assessment. Provide complex technical care with theuse of
ultrasound technology for adolescent, adult, andgeriatric patients and provide all necessary
documentation and preliminary examfindings.
Qualifications:
MINIMUMEDUCATION REQUIRED:
Graduate of registryapproved ultrasound program or equivalent experience according toInter-societal Accreditation Commission(IAC).
MINIMUM EXPERIENCEREQUIRED:
None
MINIMUMLICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED BY LAW:
Graduate of a CAAHEP accredited Cardiac Sonographer program.
Current registered or registry eligible with theAmerican Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) withRDCS certification or Cardiovascular Credentialing International(CCI) with RCS certification.
Must obtain appropriatecredential within twelve months of hire date.
Basic LifeSupport (BLS) Certification in accordance with the American HeartAssociation is required.
ADDITIONALQUALIFICATIONS:
Two years of relatedexperience as a hospital inpatient or outpatient / ambulatorycardiac sonographer preferred.
