Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate CT Tech to join our esteemed medical team in Pittsburgh, PA. As a CT Tech, you will play a crucial role in our diagnostic imaging department, operating CT scanners to capture detailed images that assist in the diagnosis and treatment of patients.
Responsibilities:
- Perform CT scans on patients according to physician orders and established protocols.
- Operate CT equipment and ensure proper patient positioning to obtain high-quality images.
- Prepare and administer contrast media as required for specific scans.
- Monitor patients during procedures to ensure safety and comfort.
- Collaborate with radiologists to evaluate and interpret scan results.
- Maintain accurate patient records, including documentation of procedures and patient history.
- Adhere to safety guidelines and infection control protocols.
- Participate in quality assurance and improvement initiatives within the department.
Requirements:
- Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in CT.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a CT Tech in a clinical setting.
- Proficiency in operating CT equipment and performing a variety of scans.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to produce accurate diagnostic images.
- Excellent communication and patient care skills.
- Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to ethical standards.
