RESPONSIBLE FOR:
Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) technologistsutilize the resonant frequency properties of atoms within amagnetic field to image anatomic and/or physiologic conditions ofthe body to assist physicians in the diagnosis of disease. MRtechnologists perform diagnostic magnetic resonance examinations inaccordance with all prescribed standards under the direct guidanceof the supervising Radiologist. MR Technologists provide patientcare to all age groups to include neonatal, pediatrics, adult, andgeriatrics. Demonstrates ability to perform advanced MR imaging andis competent/proficient with cross-sectional anatomy andphysiology. Provides more complex technical care necessary to meetidentified patientneeds.
Qualifications:
MINIMUM EDUCATIONREQUIRED:
  • Graduate of an AMAapproved Radiologic Technologyprogram.

MINIMUM EXPERIENCEREQUIRED:
  • Three (3) years ofexperience as a Radiology Technologist and 4 years experience as aMRI Technologistrequired.

MINIMUMLICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED BYLAW:
  • Registered by theAmerican Registry of Radiologic Technology in Radiography (R)(MR).
  • Advanced certification by the ARRT in MRI(MR).
