Job Overview:
Soliant is currently seeking a dedicated and passionate Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join a dynamic team at a high school in Prior Lake, MN for the upcoming 2024-2025 school year. As a school-based SLP, you will work full-time, providing comprehensive speech and language services to high school students. Your role will focus on evaluating, diagnosing, and treating students with communication disorders to support their academic and social success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct screenings and assessments to identify speech, language, and communication needs
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with other educators
- Provide direct therapy and interventions for students with speech and language disorders
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to support student success
- Document student progress and maintain accurate records
- Attend IEP meetings and provide input on student progress and goals
- Offer consultations and resources to staff and families on speech-related challenges
- Support students in achieving their communication goals in an educational setting
Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology or related field
- Valid Speech-Language Pathologist license in the state of Minnesota
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA (preferred)
- Experience working in a school setting (preferred but not required)
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Ability to work effectively with diverse student populations
