Since 1969, we've led the industry in developing innovative technologies for recycling scrap into high-quality steels that are all around us, from bridges and buildings to cars and appliances.Basic Job Functions: Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times. Maintain and repair all equipment within the yard. Change liners, belts, pulleys, electrical motors, bearings, gear boxes and other necessary equipment. Assist other maintenance and production personnel during scheduled repair projects. Operate mobile equipment as needed. Work in outdoor and indoor environments. Minor cleanup and other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications: Flexible to work off hours and overtime. Preferred Qualifications: Minimum of 2 years previous maintenance experience preferred. Welding experience preferred.
