**Job Description:**
Soliant Education is seeking a skilled and licensed Sign Language Interpreter for the upcoming 2024-2025 school year in Tacoma, WA. As a Sign Language Interpreter, you will facilitate communication between deaf or hard of hearing students and their peers, teachers, and staff within the educational setting.

**Responsibilities:**
- Provide interpreting and transliterating services using American Sign Language (ASL) or other designated sign systems.
- Interpret classroom instruction, discussions, and school activities to ensure deaf or hard of hearing students have equal access to educational opportunities.
- Assist with communication between students, teachers, and parents during meetings, events, and extracurricular activities.
- Collaborate with teachers and support staff to ensure effective communication strategies and accommodations for students.
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions related to interpreting services.

**Qualifications:**
- Valid licensure or certification as a Sign Language Interpreter in the state of Washington.
- Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) and knowledge of deaf culture.
- Experience working in educational settings preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to adapt to various educational environments and work effectively with diverse student populations.
