The IT Front-End Software Developer is responsible for the design, development and maintenance of web and mobile applications that provide a great user experience for our students, faculty, and staff. The ideal candidate will have experience and knowledge of the entire web development life cycle, from design and analysis to testing and deployment. They will be able to develop easy to use, functional and appealing websites and mobile applications with a focus on usability and performance.Responsibilities include:
  • Collaborate with product owners, engineers, and customers to define requirements.
  • Create quality designs, prototypes and mockups of websites and mobile applications.
  • Routinely test user interfaces for ease of use, speed and other quality factorsCreate innovative tools and solutions to enhance the user experience.Build themes and templates and work with Plug-Ins for Content Management systems.

May perform other duties and responsibilities that management may deem necessary from time to time.REPORTS TO: Executive Director, IT Digital SolutionsTo perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.   • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.

Proven experience as a Front-End Software Developer or similar role.Experience working with content management systems, such as WordPress.Knowledge of internal and external DNS and applying and renewing SSL certificates.Experience with Google Tag Manager and Analytics preferred.
  • Higher Education, Marketing, and Ecommerce experience a plus.
  • Experience working in an Agile development environment, a plus.
