What you will be doing Facilitates student learning in online coursesManages online courses through the LMS (learning management system) and its toolsInteracts with students online via discussion, chat, and emails at least three times a weekEvaluates and advises studentsProvides feedback on the course to course developersParticipates in departmental and College affairsPerforms other duties as assignedWhat you need to succeed Master’s degree in Communication, Communication Studies, Human Communication or Speech Communication; or Master’s degree in a related discipline (which may include, but not limited to, Mass Communication, Rhetoric, Organizational Communication, Global Communication, Business Communication, Sports Communication, or Theatre Arts) with at least 18 graduate hours of coursework in communication theory or research, including 6 (six) graduate semester hours in communication theory or research with an additional 12 (twelve) graduate hours related to course competencies.Must have basic computer software and Internet skillsMust be a Florida residentMust obtain MDC Online Certification by successfully completing specific online training provided by the College upon hiringPreferences Previous online teaching experience preferredAdditional Requirements The final candidate is to successfully complete a background screening and reference check process.For best consideration upload your unofficial transcripts along with cover letter and resume.
