Full-Time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)

Duration: Full School Year

Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for a full-time position in Lewes Beach, DE. This role requires in-person work and involves providing comprehensive speech and language services to students throughout the entire school year. The ideal candidate will be committed to improving students' communication skills and supporting their academic and social success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments to identify speech and language disorders in students.
  • Develop and implement individualized therapy plans based on assessment results and IEP goals.
  • Provide direct speech and language therapy to students in one-on-one and small group settings.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to support students' communication needs.
  • Monitor and document student progress, adjusting therapy plans as necessary.
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development and review of students' educational plans.
  • Provide support and training to teachers and staff on strategies to assist students with communication challenges.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of therapy sessions, assessments, and progress.

Qualifications:

  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Valid Delaware State License as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) preferred.
  • Previous experience working with school-aged children in an educational setting is highly desirable.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team and effectively support students' needs.
