Soliant has been engaged to find a dedicated Staff Pharmacist for a hospital/urgent care center in Stevens Point, WI. This role is essential in ensuring the safe, efficacious, and cost-effective use of drugs to improve patient quality of life.
Position: Staff Pharmacist
Location: Stevens Point, WI 54481
Key Details:

  • Start Date: ASAP
  • Shift: 8-10hr Days (7a-5p with some flexibility) - 7a-3:30p - Days
  • Duration: 13 weeks

Responsibilities:

  • Patient Experience: Identify opportunities to enhance service delivery and patient satisfaction.
  • Safety: Participate in projects to improve environmental and patient/staff safety.
  • Specialty Function: Provide service based on advanced knowledge in a specific clinical or operational area.
  • Direct Care: Screen, prepare, and dispense medications accurately; counsel patients; ensure safe medication delivery.
  • Administrative: Supervise technicians and clerks; support hospital policies; maintain a clean work environment.
  • Education: Train new employees; provide in-service education; maintain professional growth.
  • Competency: Stay current on pharmacotherapy; ensure competency in patient care for all ages.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelors or Doctorate Degree in Pharmacy; residency or fellowship preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum 3 years of inpatient hospital experience.
  • Certification: Current Wisconsin licensure as a pharmacist; CPR certification within 90 days of hire.
  • Skills: Experience with Epic; ability to manage multiple responsibilities in an inpatient pharmacy.

Preferred:

  • Membership in professional organizations such as the American Society of Health System Pharmacists or the Pharmacy Society of Wisconsin.
