Soliant Education is currently seeking a skilled and dedicated Spanish Teacher to join our team as an hourly contractor for the 2024-2025 school year near Independence, OR. Position Overview: We are looking for a motivated Spanish Teacher committed to fostering students' language proficiency and cultural appreciation. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Spanish language instruction, a passion for teaching, and the ability to create engaging and interactive lessons that promote language acquisition and cultural understanding.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive Spanish language curriculum aligned with state standards and district requirements.
  • Plan and deliver dynamic lessons that facilitate language acquisition, cultural exploration, and communication skills development.
  • Utilize a variety of instructional strategies, resources, and technology to engage students and accommodate diverse learning needs.
  • Assess student progress regularly through formative and summative assessments and provide constructive feedback to support growth.
  • Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment that encourages active participation and respect for cultural diversity.
  • Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and community stakeholders to enhance the Spanish language learning experience for students.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Spanish Education or related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • Valid teaching certification/license in Spanish (Oregon certification preferred).
  • Previous experience teaching Spanish at the elementary, middle, or high school level.
  • Proficiency in Spanish language and strong cultural competence.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to differentiate instruction and adapt teaching strategies to meet the needs of diverse learners.
  • Commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive classroom culture that values diversity and promotes mutual respect.
