Systems Engineer Senior, F-22
Description:We are Lockheed Martin
You will be the Systems Engineer for the F-22 Ogden Test Enterprise (OTE) team. Our team tests the performance of integration, modernization, and certification of flight software in Hardware in the loop, Man in the loop, and simulated environments in a lab setting.
What You Will Be Doing
The OTE is a System Integration Lab that conducts full integrated systems testing of F-22 Operational Flight Program (OFP) software. The integrated systems are radar, communication, navigation, identification, electronic warfare, weapons, and air vehicle systems all in a multi-ship environment. There are two laboratories capable of working independently or connected to execute the scripted flight scenarios to excite the aircraft in a comprehensive and real time environment. Our facility is located at Hill AFB, Ogden, Utah where you will be a member of a multi-company F-22 test team made up of Lockheed, Boeing, and Air Force Civilian teammates.
Your responsibilities will include:
• Work in a Lab environment utilizing simulations, stimulations, analysis tools, and general-purpose test equipment to define, create, and execute various scenarios with the objective to integrate and verify aircraft avionics functionality and capabilities.
• Support test execution activities as well as ancillary activities required to prepare lab for test execution while maintaining configuration management.
• Communicate and collaborate across multiple agencies as these activities will require constant contact with Air Force personnel, Air Force F-22 Customer, vendors, security, IT, and Boeing, Raytheon, and others.
• Review, update, and perform written test procedures, utilize test tools (i.e. simulations, data analysis, & plotting) and document results/anomalies while perform investigations on lab hardware as needed.
You will be challenged and encouraged to learn not only how to operate their system, but to understand the how and why of their system and how it relates to the overall F-22 fighting platform. Self-motivation and inquisitive nature is a strong indicator of long lasting success.
This position is for a fulltime 4/10 B 1st shift position (Tuesday-Friday).
