Our school in Front Royal, Virginia is seeking a dynamic and compassionate School Psychologist to join our team for the upcoming 2024-2025 school year. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to the academic, social, and emotional success of students in grades Kindergarten through 12. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in providing assessments, interventions, and support services to students, as well as the ability to effectively collaborate with educators and parents.

Location: Front Royal, Virginia
Duration: Full-time, 10-12-month contract
Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations to assess students' cognitive, academic, social, and emotional functioning.
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to develop individualized education plans (IEPs) and behavior intervention plans (BIPs) for students with diverse needs.
  • Provide counseling and crisis intervention services to students experiencing academic, behavioral, or emotional challenges.
  • Utilize data-driven decision-making processes to monitor student progress and adjust interventions as needed.
  • Serve as a resource to educators and parents on best practices for supporting students' academic and social-emotional development.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential records of assessments, interventions, and progress monitoring data.

Qualifications:

  • Valid state certification or licensure as a School Psychologist in Virginia.
  • Experience working in a K-12 educational setting preferred.
  • Strong assessment and intervention skills, with the ability to work effectively with students of varying ages and needs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage a manageable caseload efficiently and prioritize tasks effectively.
