Job Description: As an Occupational Therapist in our school district of Agua Fria, NM, you will play a crucial role in providing specialized therapy services to students with various developmental, physical, and cognitive challenges. Your primary responsibility will be to assess students' needs, develop appropriate treatment plans, and implement therapeutic interventions to help them achieve their educational goals. Collaboration with teachers, parents, and other members of the educational team will be essential to ensure the best outcomes for each student.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough evaluations and assessments of students' functional abilities.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans tailored to each student's needs and goals.
  • Provide direct therapy services to students both individually and in group settings.
  • Monitor and document progress, making necessary adjustments to intervention strategies as needed.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other professionals to integrate therapy goals into the student's educational program.

Requirements:

  • Valid license/certification as an Occupational Therapist in the state of New Mexico.
  • Previous experience working in a school setting or with pediatric populations is desirable.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with team members, students, and parents.
  • Ability to create engaging and effective therapy plans based on individual student needs.
