We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Middle School Math Teacher to join our team in Marietta, GA. As a key member of our faculty, you will have the opportunity to inspire and educate students in the field of mathematics, fostering a love for learning and helping them develop essential problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging and comprehensive math lessons that align with the school's curriculum and state standards.
  • Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of students, including those with varying learning styles and abilities.
  • Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment where all students feel valued and encouraged to participate.
  • Assess student progress regularly through formative and summative assessments, providing constructive feedback to guide their learning.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop interdisciplinary units and projects that integrate math concepts with other subjects.
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and administrators regarding student progress, behavior, and academic concerns.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current on best practices in math education and pedagogy.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Education, Mathematics, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • Valid teaching certification in Math (grade 6) from the state of Georgia.
  • Previous experience teaching middle school math, preferably in a diverse classroom setting.
  • Strong knowledge of middle school math content and instructional strategies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to effectively manage classroom behavior and create a positive learning environment.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional growth and collaboration with colleagues.
  • Familiarity with technology integration to enhance instruction is desirable.
