Key Job Details – Chicago Mammography Tech Travel Contract Location: Chicago, IL 60611 (Gold Coast) Healthcare Setting: Imaging – Mammography Employment Type: Travel Contract Start Date: December 29, 2025 End Date: March 23, 2026 Contract Duration: 12 weeks Shift: Day Shift, 5x8-Hour (07:30 - 16:00) Hours per Week: 40 Weekend Requirement: No On Call: No Estimated Weekly Salary: $2,260 - $2,430 Mammography Technologist Qualifications Minimum 1 year of direct experience in Mammography or Radiologic Technology Graduate of a hospital-based two-year Radiologic Technology program or Associate’s Degree in Radiology Technology ARRT registered in Radiography (ARRT)(R) ARRT registered in Mammography (ARRT)(M) within 12 months of start date Clinical and technical competency in Mammography to meet MQSA requirements CPR - Basic Life Support certification (AHA) Illinois state radiology license (or ability to obtain before start) Previous travel healthcare experience required Epic charting system experience Bachelor’s degree preferred Three or more years of experience preferred Radiologic Technologist Responsibilities Perform high-quality diagnostic and screening mammograms, including 3D and digital mammography Conduct fine needle aspirations, stereotactic biopsies, and needle localizations Ensure radiation safety and compliance with universal precautions Educate patients on breast self-exams (BSE) and provide patient support Maintain digital quality assurance procedures and accurate documentation Collaborate with interdisciplinary radiology and healthcare teams Operate Hologic 3D mammography equipment and Epic charting system Deliver care to adult and geriatric patients in an outpatient healthcare setting Discover top Chicago healthcare jobs and grow your skills as a Mammography Technologist.
