Job Description:
Soliant Education is currently seeking a passionate and dedicated Special Education Teacher to join a school district in Elmhurst, Illinois. The Special Education Teacher will work with students with diverse learning needs, developing individualized education programs (IEPs) and implementing effective instructional strategies. Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students with special needs.
  • Provide specialized instruction to students in both individual and group settings, adapting materials as necessary to meet their unique needs.
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, school staff, and parents to ensure the success of all students.
  • Monitor student progress and adjust instructional methods and strategies as needed.
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to setting realistic and measurable goals.
  • Create a positive, structured, and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Utilize evidence-based practices and interventions to support students academically, socially, and behaviorally.
  • Provide ongoing communication and updates to families regarding student progress.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Special Education or a related field.
  • Valid Illinois teaching certification in Special Education.
  • Experience working with students with disabilities preferred.
  • Knowledge of IEP development and implementation.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to adapt to different learning styles and meet diverse student needs.
  • A passion for making a positive impact in the lives of students with disabilities.
