As part of the Fleet Ballistic Missile (FBM) Program, The Reentry Systems Nuclear Surety Engineer fills a critical need for operational readiness and safety of the Navy's Strategic Weapons System. You will utilize your knowledge of security requirements and apply them in support of government programs. Your technical knowledge along with strong verbal and written communication skills and experience working directly with government customer, both military and is critical.

IN THIS ROLE:
• You will perform trend analysis, identify problem areas affecting nuclear safety, research alternatives, develop and recommend solutions.

• You will advise SP28 and SPF on nuclear surety impacts or changes in UR program requirements.

• You will participate in Operational Safety Reviews, Operational Safety Evaluations, and Special Safety Evaluations as LM domain expert on Nuclear Surety.

• You will travel frequently to domestic suppliers, customers or other LM locations as required.

Basic Qualifications:
-Experience with nuclear weapons programs
-Experience with Critical Nuclear Weapon Design Information (CNWDI) and Foreign Government Information (FGI)
-Knowledge of security classification standards and their applications
-Engineering degree or equivalent experience
-Active Secret Clearance with ability to obtain Top Secret Clearance

-Experience with the FBM Program
-Demonstrated experience working as a safety representative
-Organized, detail oriented individual with the ability to track, monitor, and achieve progress on multiple projects simultaneously
-Demonstrated ability as an effective communicator
-Ability to resolve conflicts with tact and teamwork
-Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently in a high-demand, fast-paced environment
-Active DoD Top Secret Clearance

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off
