The 1st floor is a26-bed general medical surgical nursing unit that cares for adultto geriatric patients. This unit is part of the new south tower atPiedmont Newnan which opened its doors in May 2024. The nursesmanage the care of acute medical surgical patients with a widerange of diagnoses and care needs. Through an interdisciplinaryteam approach, we collaborate to provide excellent, individualizedcare for our patients. With a goal of a 1:5-6 nurse to patientratio and the assistance of PCTs and other ancillary departments,you will work with a multidisciplinary team to help coordinatepatient care while providing high quality care to make a positivedifference in every life wetouch.

RESPONSIBLE FOR:
Coordinates the delivery of quality nursingcare for patients from birth through the lifecycle, as well asoperational issues during his/her shift. Provides clinical care asneeded when census demands. Communicates patient care, departmentalissues, and staff concerns to the appropriate leader(s). Serves asresource for guidance and assistance to thestaff.

Qualifications:
MINIMUMEDUCATION REQUIRED:
Graduate of a nursingprogram.

MINIMUM EXPERIENCEREQUIRED:
One year of nursing experience in ahospital setting required.

MINIMUMLICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED BY LAW:
CurrentLicense in the State of Georgia as a Registered Nurse or NLC/eNLCMultistate License. BLS certification required.

ADDITIONALQUALIFICATIONS:
Two or more years of nursingexperience in a hospital setting preferred. Bachelor's degreepreferred. Advanced certification in field of specialty, ifapplicable. Demonstrated clinical competency.
