Job Summary

Responsible for reviewing patient lab values, medications, physical assessment (BMI, body fat %) in order to make diet and medication recommendations to physicians, patients and/or caregivers. Responsible for following up of patients, educating patients and/or caregivers, and documentation. Dietitians will assist in quality assessment audits, in-service and community education programs, as well as participate in interdisciplinary team for care planning and quality improvement as required by regulatory bodies.

Job Requirements

Education
- Required: Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university
Experience
- Preferred: 3 years’ dietitian experience in the teaching and nutritional evaluation of patients with chronic diseases
Skills
- Ability to frequently interact with people, and deal with diverse education levels.
- Familiar with age specific needs for patient population served.
- Knowledge of personal computer and software usage specific to job.(Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, etc.)
Licensure/Certification/Registration
- Required: Registered Dietitian with State Licensure or Registry eligible with successful completion within 90 days of hire.
- Preferred: Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist (CDCES)
