Job Overview:
Our client is seeking a Workday Functional Consultant with expertise in the Financial ERP modules for a 4-6 month consulting engagement. This role will assist the accounting team with the implementation and optimization of Workday Financial Management solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Workday, with a focus on the financial modules, and a proven ability to deliver high-quality ERP solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on Workday Financials, including modules such as General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Asset Management, and Financial Reporting.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyze business requirements, translating them into functional specifications and system configurations.
  • Provide guidance and best practices for the adoption and use of Workday Financial modules, ensuring clients maximize the value of their investment.
  • Participate in data conversion and integration activities, ensuring seamless transition from legacy systems to Workday.
  • Work closely with technical teams to support customizations, integrations, and reporting needs.
  • Stay up to date with the latest Workday releases and updates, ensuring the client’s system remains current and optimized.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Technology, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience as a Workday Functional Consultant, specifically with Workday Financials.
  • In-depth knowledge of Workday Financial Management modules, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Asset Management, and Financial Reporting.
  • Proven experience leading Workday Financial implementations, including requirement gathering, configuration, testing, and go-live support.
  • Strong understanding of financial business processes and ERP best practices.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively engage with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Workday certification in Financials is a plus.
Preferred Skills:
  • Experience with data migration, integration, and reporting in Workday Financials.
  • Familiarity with other Workday modules such as HCM or Payroll.
  • Project management experience or certification.
