Position Summary:

UNC Horizons Program seeks full time Residential Advisor to work in our residential treatment program located in Chapel Hill/Carrboro. This program is specifically designed to address the needs of women with opioid and other substance dependence issues and their children.

The Horizons Program operates 24/7, 365 days a year. This position involves both structured and informal direct client service and supervision; documentation; transporting residents in a state van; general upkeep of program facility; and providing structured childcare while residents are at meetings or appointments.

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:

Demonstrated possession of the competencies necessary to perform the work.

Required Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience:

Requires professionalism along with the ability to take initiative, use good judgment, and multi-task. Valid NC Driver’s License is required.

Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience:

Knowledge of or interest in gender-specific substance abuse treatment is preferred.

Special Physical/Mental Requirements:

Must be able to ascend/descend stairs with or without accommodation.
