Description:As the Air Mobility and Maritime Missions (AMMM) Engineer Director, you will be responsible for providing strategic leadership, technical oversight, and execution direction across all engineering aspects of the C-130, C-5, and P-3 aircraft platforms. This is a multifunctional role, requiring you to ensure both cost and schedule performance while driving the technical success of the AMMM Engineering and Technology Team. Your leadership will cover various engineering disciplines critical to the successful execution of programs, while also supporting business development efforts and ensuring customer satisfaction.
What You Will Be Doing
• Lead and oversee all technical aspects of the C-130, C-5, and P-3 aircraft platforms, ensuring optimal performance in both engineering execution and program outcomes.
• Manage a wide array of engineering disciplines including Mission Systems and Software, Air Vehicle Systems (Propulsion, Flight Controls, Mechanical and Fluid Systems, Electrical Power and Mass Properties), Airframe Design, Structural Integrity, MRB, Systems Engineering, Configuration Management, System Safety and Airworthiness, Project Engineering, and Test & Evaluation.
• Ensure the successful execution of C-130, C-5, and P-3 programs, focusing on technical, budgetary, and schedule performance while maintaining positive contract outcomes.
• Provide oversight on the development of timely and accurate quotes for all Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs) and proposals.
• Collaborate with Business Development, Business Ventures, and ADP I&D to pursue and capture new business opportunities, while also leading the execution of Internal Research and Development (IRAD) projects.
• Ensure engineering support and successful execution of all production, modification, and sustainment contracts for customer programs.
• Directly support AMMM Production Operations, Supply Chain Management, and Sustainment Operations to ensure on-time delivery of all production and modification aircraft, as well as other program deliverables.
• Coordinate and oversee the activities of Labs and Technical Services, Flight Operations, and Data Management Teams that support the AMMM mission.

Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or higher in an engineering/technical discipline.

Broad technical background in aircraft/technology development and systems engineering processes.

Experience as a technical lead and/or project manager.

Previous Management Experience.
Desired Skills:
Minimum 15 years experience.

Strong communication skills and ability to work with other Lockheed Martin Aero Line of Businesses.

Knowledge of AMMM program processes as well as site-specific advanced systems and technology & product innovation projects.

Familiarity with AMMM platforms and their installed systems – C-130, C-5, and P-3.

Awareness of the AMMM organization.

Top Secret Clearance.

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
