Location: Cheraw, SC

Job Summary:

Soliant Education is currently seeking a passionate and committed Special Education Teacher for a full-time position in Cheraw, South Carolina. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting students with special needs by creating and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) that align with the goals of the district. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a collaborative environment focused on student success and inclusion.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with various disabilities.
  • Provide direct instruction to students, modifying lessons and materials to meet individual needs.
  • Monitor student progress and maintain detailed records regarding academic and behavioral performance.
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, parents, and other staff to ensure the success of students.
  • Support students in small groups or one-on-one settings, providing academic, behavioral, and emotional support.
  • Conduct assessments to evaluate students' progress and adjust teaching methods accordingly.
  • Attend IEP meetings and work closely with parents and guardians to ensure positive outcomes for students.
  • Create a positive, safe, and nurturing classroom environment conducive to learning.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Special Education or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • Valid South Carolina Special Education teaching certification.
  • Experience working with students with disabilities and knowledge of IEP development.
  • Strong classroom management and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and collaborate with other educators and support staff.
  • Passionate about making a difference in the lives of students with special needs.
