About The Position
Summary:
- Cardiovascular technologists who work in facilities that run tests on heart health.
- They assist with the insertion of catheters into the heart and are responsible for measuring and administering special fluids.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Transfer stable patients to recovery rooms following the completion of procedures.
- Assist with the cleaning maintenance set-up and testing of EP lab equipment.
- Answer questions from patients and family members prior to the procedure.
- Monitored EKG readouts and reported any irregularities to the doctor.
- Inspect and test EKG equipment prior to patient procedures.
- Prepare patients for procedures (cleaning, shaving, etc.).
- Anesthetize the area of insertion for angioplasties.
Education & Experience Requirements:
- Associates Degree.
- Telemetry Certification or ability to obtain certification.
- One year of experience as a Cardiac Catheterization Technician.
- Current AHA BLS.
