    • All shifts in 2024 will be 12 or 24 hour shifts, 7a-7p or 7a-7a
    • Would like to find a full time candidate and a part time candidate, both with weekday availability to do locums work with us starting asap until such a time we no longer need locums coverage Full time candidates would be approx. 144 hours per month with a mix of 12 and 24 hour shifts, depending on scheduling needs
    • We do not consider ourselves laborists, as some gyn coverage is provided on occasion. It is not fully a true laborist job.
    • The Generalist OB group will be taking call for their private patients.
    • With the decrease in workload for the hospitalist on call, the call shifts will be changed to 12 or 24 hours going forward. With a 7 am/7 pm sign out.
    • To clarify, the position is a HOSPITALIST position (not call coverage)
    • Weekend shifts are:
      • 6 am to 3 pm
      • 2 pm to 11 pm
      • 10 pm to 7 am
    • Patients per shift: 9 max scheduled cases/day (not including unscheduled patients who are admitted) 3 cases night shift, 6 cases day shift
    • Beds in Department: 12 LDR + 3 low intervention rooms (midwifery)
    • # of RNs: Days average 7-9 floor nurses (plus 1 charge, 2 triage RNs), Nights average 5-6 floor nurses (plus 1 charge, 2 triage RNs) this number drops by about 1-2 nurses on weekend due to lower caseload
    • # of MAs: We dont have MAs, but we have OB Assistants (3 on days, 2 on nights) and Surgical Technicians (3 on days, 2 on nights)
    • # of PA/NPs: 4 midwives that care for patients collaborate with physicians with increased in level of care situations
    • EMR: Epic
    • OBGYN with ABOG Board Certified is a must
