Location: Pittsburgh, PA
Start Date: August 12, 2024
End Date: May 30, 2025
Hours: Full-time, 35 hours/week
Clearances: Must have PA clearances

Job Details: We are seeking two dedicated and skilled Registered Nurses (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) to join our team for the 2024/2025 school year. The nurses will be responsible for providing comprehensive health services to approximately 320 students in each building.

Key Responsibilities:

  • See students for sick visits and manage minor injuries and illnesses.
  • Complete yearly health screenings and maintain accurate health records.
  • Provide daily medical care and administer medications as needed.
  • Monitor and support students with chronic health conditions.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and healthcare professionals to ensure the health and well-being of students.
  • Participate fully in the academic program and assist with bus riding for students if needed.

Position Details:

  1. Elementary Position:
    • Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:55 AM - 2:25 PM
    • Caseload: Kindergarten through 4th grade students
  2. Second Position:
    • Full details of this position will be provided upon application.

Qualifications:

  • Must be a licensed RN or LPN.
  • Experience in pediatric or school nursing is preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a school environment.
  • Compassionate, patient, and attentive to the needs of students.
