- Heavy outbound call flow to our patients
- Listening to their concerns with a collection’s mindset
- Follow authentication protocols
- Collect on past due balances and process payments
- Obtain new information to progress the claim
- Clear and concise documentation after every patient interaction
- Set the correct actions to ensure the claim will move forward
- Quality review of the work performed
- Self-motivated – ability to jump in where help is needed
- Detail oriented and focused – pays attention to details and checks their work for quality
- Critical thinker – ability to brainstorm possible solutions with limited direction
- Strong problem-solving skills – finds solving problems exciting and not discouraging
- Good judgement – ability to make quick decisions based on available data
- Relational – ability to effectively work with other teams in a professional manner
- Natural curiosity – desire to understand the entire landscape of healthcare payers and claims
- Accountable – ability to own actions, listen to feedback and apply to make changes
- Overcome objections – the ability to listen to another and rise above the roadblock by asking great open-ended questions
- Reliability/Punctuality – the ability to honor the time commitment made and be present to help the team grow
- Communication Skills – the ability openly extend dialog by to professionally communicate in a clear and concise manner with others
- Collections or Third-Party Collections or Claims experience preferred
- Bilingual (English/Spanish)
- Call center experience
- Prior experience working with payers and health insurance claims preferred.

- the individual’s skill sets, experience and training;
- licensure and certification requirements;
- office location and other geographic considerations;

With that said, as required by local law, Vaco believes that the following salary range referenced above reasonably estimates the base compensation for an individual hired into this position in geographies that require salary range disclosure. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
