The successful applicant will join a collaborative, cohesive, and energetic community of educators/scholars within the College who are committed to high quality teaching, research, and service. We welcome a candidate whose teaching and scholarship focuses on practical, theoretical, and innovative approaches toward educator preparation and professional learning throughout the career span. Our Early Childhood Studies programs include a comprehensive array of programs that prepare practitioners and researchers for the exciting field of early childhood studies. Expert faculty design learning experiences that teach students in innovative and forward-thinking ways about developmentally appropriate programming and evidence-based practices to support the learning and development of young children and their families. The successful applicant for the Assistant Instructional Professor position is expected to teach and advise undergraduate students in our early childhood programs; to support other adjunct instructors and faculty who teach courses and/or supervise practicum students in the program; and assist in coordinating the early childhood undergraduate and master's program. This 12-month appointment will begin in August 2026. Salary is competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience.
