Are you a dedicated and compassionate School Psychologist seeking a rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of elementary school students in a supportive school environment?

Soliant Education is seeking a qualified School Psychologist to join our team in the friendly Cottage Grove, MN area This full-time, in-person position for the 2024-2025 school year offers a unique chance to provide essential psychological services to elementary school students.

What You'll Do:

  • Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations to identify academic, social, emotional, and behavioral needs of elementary school students.
  • Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and 504 Plans in collaboration with teachers, administrators, and other professionals to address students' individualized needs.
  • Provide individual and group counseling sessions to elementary school students, addressing a variety of concerns including social-emotional learning (SEL), anxiety, depression, and learning challenges.
  • Consult with teachers and staff to develop strategies for supporting students' social-emotional well-being and academic success in the classroom environment.
  • Collaborate with parents and families to provide support and resources to promote student success at school and home.
  • Participate in crisis intervention and prevention efforts to ensure a safe and supportive learning environment for all students.
  • Analyze data and monitor student progress to ensure the effectiveness of interventions.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current on best practices in school psychology.

This position allows you to play a vital role in supporting the academic and social-emotional well-being of elementary school students during a crucial developmental stage. You will work collaboratively with a dedicated team to create a positive and inclusive learning environment where every student feels empowered to reach their full potential.

Qualifications:

  • Minnesota State License as a School Psychologist.
  • Prior experience working with elementary school students in a school setting is highly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of child development, social-emotional learning (SEL), and evidence-based assessment and intervention practices.
  • Expertise in conducting psychoeducational evaluations, developing IEPs and 504 Plans, and providing individual and group counseling tailored to the needs of elementary school students.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with students, parents, teachers, administrators, and other school staff.
  • Proficiency in data analysis, report writing, and maintaining student confidentiality.
  • A passion for promoting student well-being and advocating for students with diverse needs.
