Description: Job Purpose Position Overview:To perform laboratory testing for WCHS laboratory.This position is a 7 on 7 off position working Wednesday-Tuesday on your week to work. Overtime is earned at 80 hours a pay period.Specific Job Duties/Responsibilities: Demonstrate the Winnebago Tribe s core mission, vision, and values Under the direct supervision of the Laboratory Manager, the MT/MLT provides technical support by performing analyses, tests, and procedures that assist in the prevention, diagnosis, or treatment of diseases. Accessioning/ ordering tests in the Laboratory Information Systems (LIS) and processing specimens with referral to the reference laboratories. Operates, maintains, and calibrates the equipment used to ensure it is operating efficiently and providing accurate results Performs basic troubleshooting as needed Maintain documentation according to regulatory agencies and write laboratory policies and procedures. Exposure to infectious clinical specimens on a regular basis, so adherence to sterilization and infection control procedures is required. This position is responsible for using his/her skill, accuracy, proficiency and dedication to work in all laboratory sections performing analytical testing on patients specimens. Candidate must demonstrate excellent customer service skills. Candidate must be comfortable with routine phlebotomy. Duties listed are only an illustration of various types of work performed.
