Pioneer Healthcare Services has an exciting job opportunity for a qualified Speech Language Pathologist SLP at a school district in Santa Barbara, CA for the 2024- 2025 school year, with the possibility to extend.�As the School Speech Language Pathologist SLP, you will collaborate with staff, families, students and the community to promote an effective educational environment in a professional manner. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 1 year experience in the pediatric population, however, new grads are encouraged to apply. Responsibilities of a School Speech Language Pathologist SLP: * Strong understanding of speech-related conditions, causes, and treatments * Proficiency with computers, especially patient and healthcare databases * Attentive and caring with the ability to develop individualized education plans (IEPs) * Excellent coaching and verbal and written communication skills * IEP Meetings * Conducting assessments, analyzing results, and writing reports to determine strengths and concerns in areas of speech, voice, fluency, pragmatics, language, and oral motor skills * Ensuring evaluations, treatment plans and service delivery are aligned with school, state, and federal guidelines * Completing treatment notes and progress reports in timely manner and according to school policy * Provide therapy on site * Grade level Pre K- 12 * Reporting progress and current status to appropriate parties, which may include family members, teachers, or medical professionals * Performing screenings to detect voice or speech disorders * Evaluate and diagnose speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders * Submit all billing logs and necessary information on a timely basis Qualifications of a School Speech Language Pathologist SLP: * Must have their CCCs * Current BLS / CPR Certification * Master*s degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited program * Licensure or eligibility for licensure in the state of work assignment * Experience assessing and diagnosing speech, language, voice, flu Pioneer Healthcare Services is a San Diego-based staffing and travel recruitment firm that specializes in finding exceptional nursing and therapy positions for its clients across the US.
