Position Overview:

As a School-Based Speech-Language Pathologist, you'll be instrumental in

fostering the communication and language development of our students in Pleasant Hill, Oregon. Collaborating closely with educators, parents, and fellow professionals, you'll identify and address speech and language disorders, ensuring every student's academic and social success.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments to identify communication disorders within a K-12 caseload.
  • Develop and implement tailored treatment plans for students facing speech and language challenges.
  • Collaborate effectively with teachers, parents, and specialists to cultivate a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Deliver direct therapy services to students, both in individual and group settings.
  • Monitor and document student progress, making necessary adjustments to intervention plans.
  • Participate actively in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings, offering valuable insights to the multidisciplinary team.
  • Provide professional development and support to teachers and staff on speech and language topics.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Oregon state license in Speech-Language Pathology.
  • ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP).
  • Preferably have experience working in a school setting.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a diverse team of professionals.
