We are looking for a compassionate and skilled Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our school-based team in Bellevue, MD. In this role, you will work collaboratively with students, families, and educators to enhance students' functional abilities and promote their independence in daily activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess students occupational performance and identify areas of need related to school activities and daily living skills.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that focus on improving fine motor skills, sensory processing, self-care skills, and overall participation in school activities.
  • Provide direct occupational therapy services to students in individual and group settings.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school professionals to integrate therapeutic strategies into the classroom environment.
  • Monitor and document student progress, adjusting therapy plans as necessary to ensure the achievement of goals.
  • Educate families and school staff about strategies to support students' occupational therapy needs at home and in school.
  • Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings, contributing to goal setting and progress reports.

Qualifications:

  • Masters degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
  • Current Maryland state licensure as an Occupational Therapist.
  • Certification from the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) is preferred.
  • Experience in a school setting is preferred, but new graduates are encouraged to apply.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
  • Passion for working with children and a commitment to fostering their development and independence.
