Our Wound Care Center isseeking a nurse practitioner to jointhe team. This is a FULL TIME employment position through CHRISTUSSt. Vincent Medical Group. Position hours are Monday -- Friday;8hrs/day. You will enjoy working with a highly skilled andprofessional team committed to providing exceptional, personalizedcare to our patients and community. Our full-service and advancedwound care center addresses underlying medical issues that maydelay healing by: using advanced wound dressings, help controlbacteria growth, provide and coordinate vascular, diagnostic andinterventional procedures, provide advanced compression wraps tocontrol edema, and use hyperbaric oxygen therapy to facilitatehealing in certain types of wounds. Our objective is complete andsustained healing using evidence-based, clinically proven treatmentguidelines.
TheNurse Practitioner will:
- Gathermedical history and physical data on patients
- Perform a complete physical exam, interpret and integrate patientdata to determine appropriate diagnostic & therapeutic plansand procedures, and record findings
- Consultwith other caregivers to coordinate patient care
- Order appropriate laboratory and diagnostics
- Administer injections, immunizations and oralmedications
- Procedures performed may include:sharp debridement of wounds, application of skingrafts/substitutes.
- Prepare writtenprescription orders for medication & controlledsubstances
- Advise patients regarding woundcare, health practices and illness prevention
Requirements
Requirements:Current licensure as an NP. Graduation from an accredited NPtraining program and certified by an accredited certificationagency; Current CPR Certification.
