Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team for the 2024-2025 school year in Lebanon, ME. This full-time position focuses on providing speech and language therapy services to students in a Life Skills classroom, specifically for 4th and 5th grade students.
- Deliver high-quality speech and language therapy services to 4th and 5th grade students in a Life Skills classroom setting
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to students' unique needs
- Conduct assessments and evaluations to determine students' speech and language requirements
- Collaborate closely with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support student progress
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of services provided
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of student goals
- Adapt therapy techniques to meet the specific needs of students in a Life Skills program
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Valid state licensure and certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist
- Experience working with students in Life Skills programs preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Commitment to providing compassionate and effective therapy services
- Experience with or willingness to learn augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) strategies
