A large-scale chemical manufacturing facility is seeking a Senior Maintenance & Reliability Manager to join its site leadership team. This individual will oversee all aspects of maintenance and reliability, guiding both strategic direction and day-to-day execution to ensure operational excellence, equipment reliability, and cost-effective performance. Primary Objectives Develop and implement a multi-year maintenance and reliability strategy that enhances productivity, reduces downtime, and optimizes maintenance costs. Lead the organization through a reliability transformation by strengthening preventive and predictive maintenance programs. Build and mentor a high-performing team focused on safety, innovation, and continuous improvement. Deliver measurable improvements in operational performance and profitability through effective planning and resource management. Key Responsibilities Leadership Lead and develop the site’s maintenance and reliability organization, fostering technical growth and team engagement. Partner with site and business leadership to address operational challenges and advance strategic initiatives. Set clear goals for the team and promote a collaborative, performance-driven culture. Ensure business objectives are met through disciplined planning and execution. Maintenance Direct safe, cost-effective, and compliant maintenance activities across the site. Implement standardized maintenance work processes and best practices. Maximize the use of maintenance management systems (e.g., SAP or equivalent) to improve efficiency and reliability. Oversee turnaround planning, execution, and continuous improvement initiatives. Reliability Develop and sustain reliability programs emphasizing predictive and preventive maintenance. Prioritize investments and projects that enhance equipment uptime and overall equipment effectiveness (OEE). Drive a proactive, data-driven culture that integrates reliability, safety, and operational excellence. Team & Collaboration Reports directly to the Site Leadership Team. Oversees a large, multidisciplinary maintenance and reliability organization (staff and contractors). Works closely with operations, engineering, safety, and corporate functions to achieve performance targets.
