Job Description:

Soliant Education is seeking a qualified and passionate RE/SE (Resource/Special Education) Teacher to join our team in Leesport, PA. In this role, you will work with students who have diverse learning needs, providing individualized instruction and support to help them achieve their educational goals. The RE/SE Teacher will collaborate with school staff, parents, and other professionals to develop and implement effective strategies that meet the unique needs of each student.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs
  • Provide direct instruction in core academic subjects, as well as specialized instruction based on students' needs
  • Utilize a variety of teaching strategies and techniques to engage students and promote learning
  • Assess students' progress regularly and modify instructional plans as needed
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and parents to address students' academic and behavioral needs
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate effectively with stakeholders
  • Stay current on best practices and research in special education

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field (Master's degree preferred)
  • Valid Pennsylvania teaching certification in Special Education
  • Experience working with students with diverse learning needs, including those with autism, learning disabilities, and emotional/behavioral disorders
  • Strong understanding of special education laws and regulations
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a team
  • Flexible and adaptable to changing needs and priorities
  • Experience with IEP development and implementation preferred
