Secondary System(s): M3 Cavalry Fighting Vehicle (CFV); Bradley Fire Support Team Vehicle (BFST); Heavy Expanded Mobility Tactical Truck (HEMTT); High Mobility, Multipurpose, Wheeled Vehicle (HMMWV); Bradley Conduct OF Fire Trainers (COFT); Advanced Gunnery Training Systems (AGTS); Abrams, Bradley, Mine Resistant Ambush Protected (MRAP) and Stryker Maintenance Training Systems (MTS); Common Driver Trainer (CDT) platform; Family of Egress Trainers; Construction Equipment Virtual Trainers (CEVT); DRTS 

Essential Job Duties: 

Includes, but not limited to:  

  • Provides maintenance support to the Close Combat Tactical Trainer (CCTT), Mobile CCTT, Virtual Clearance Training Suite (VCTS) and/or Reconfigurable Vehicle Tactical Trainer (RVTT).  
  • Maintains, repairs, troubleshoots, modifies and installs various types of electronic equipment and related devices such as electronic transmitting and receiving equipment (e.g., radar, radio, television, telecommunication, sonar, and navigational aids).  
  • Receives direction and applies basic and some technical knowledge of electronics principles in determining equipment malfunctions and repairing equipment to its normal operation.  
  • Restores equipment operation, evaluates performance and reliability of prototype or production mode.  
  • Perform preventive maintenance on equipment, troubleshoot, and repair equipment as necessary.  
  • Perform electrical/mechanical adjustment, remove and replace failed components, and make repairs on equipment.  
  • Document all maintenance actions by inputting data in MIS.  
  • May be required to support other devices and will be cross-trained, as needed.

  • Must possess an active Secret security clearance.  
  • This position may require travel to other installations and other ATMP locations throughout CONUS and OCONUS. 

 

Minimum Job Requirements (Education, Experience, Knowledge, Skills, Other Abilities): 

  • Preferred: 2 yearAssociate Degree in electronics or related technical field (BS Degree desirable/Experience Equivalent to Degree) with 2 years of recent electrical/electronic industrial work experience; Minimum 4 years of experience with electrical systems and /or repair of electronic components.  
  • May consider experience in lieu of formal education (military training, technical school, and/or professional experience).
