Travel Nursing Job Details Location: Cedar Rapids, IA 52402 (Iowa travel nursing jobs) Position: Med/Surg Registered Nurse (RN) – Oncology/Neuro Unit Assignment Length: 13 weeks (Start: 12/7/2025 – End: 3/8/2026) Shift: 12-hour day shifts, 3 shifts per week (36 hours/week) Schedule: Every other weekend and holiday rotation required Setting: On-site, Travel Nursing Bed Size: 24-bed unit Patient Ratios: Days/Evenings – 1:5, Nights – 1:6 EMR: EPIC Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $1,860 - $2,000 Registered Nurse Qualifications Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Iowa Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg nursing experience (first-time travel nurses welcome with 2 years' experience) BLS (AHA) certification required NIHSS certification required Proficiency with EPIC EMR Ability to float between Med/Surg and Stepdown units Experience administering heparin, cardizem, and amiodarone Clinical experience with Med/Surg, neurology, and oncology patients One supervisory performance evaluation/reference from within the last 2 years Proof of taxable address (for travel nursing policy compliance) Med/Surg RN Responsibilities Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients in the Med/Surg Oncology/Neuro unit Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to manage patient care using the nursing process Float between Med/Surg and Stepdown units as needed Administer medications including heparin, cardizem, and amiodarone Care for patients with diverse medical, neurological, and oncological conditions Document patient care accurately using EPIC EMR Participate in weekend and holiday rotations as scheduled Ready to take your nursing career to the next level?
