Job Description: Speech-Language Pathologist

Location: Morrison, OK

Job Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team. The SLP will work with students to diagnose and treat speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders. The ideal candidate will have a passion for helping students achieve their full potential and will be skilled in developing individualized education programs (IEPs) and implementing therapeutic strategies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct assessments to diagnose speech and language disorders in students.
  • Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) for students with speech and language impairments.
  • Provide direct therapy services to students, both individually and in groups.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support students' communication needs.
  • Maintain accurate records of students' progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
  • Participate in IEP meetings and provide recommendations for students' educational plans.
  • Stay current with best practices and developments in the field of speech-language pathology.
Qualifications:
  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Valid Oklahoma Speech-Language Pathology license.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
  • Oklahoma State Department of Education Certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
  • Experience working in a school setting is preferred.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
Required Licensure and Certifications:
  • Oklahoma Speech-Language Pathology License: Issued by the Oklahoma Board of Examiners for Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC): Issued by ASHA.
  • Oklahoma State Department of Education Certification: Required to work as a speech-language pathologist in public schools in Oklahoma.
