Qualifications:
RESPONSIBLEFOR:
The Paramedic , under the supervisionof the Professional Registered Nurse and/or Physician isresponsible for facilitating age-appropriate, culturally andethnically sensitive care, maintaining a safe environment,educating patients and their families, collecting information,communicating effectively, and utilizing technology. The Paramedicparticipates in the assessment, planning, implementation, andevaluation of the delivery of health care services and task. Therole of the Paramedic Nurse Extender also, includes patientadvocacy, teaching, performance improvement, and the oversight ofunlicensed personnel.
MINIMUM EDUCATIONREQUIRED:
High school graduate orequivalent.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCEREQUIRED:
None
MINIMUMLICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED BY LAW:
Currentcertification as a Paramedic in the State of Georgia required,National Registry preferred
ADDITIONALQUALIFICATIONS:
BLS. Must be ACLS certified, orbe able to become certified immediately.
