JOBPURPOSE:
Performs patient assessments,general and critical care respiratory care procedures, respiratorycare for newborns in Labor and Delivery, blood gas analysis andinterpretation, maintenance and management of equipment and patientand family education in both adult and neonatalareas.
Qualifications:
MINIMUMEDUCATION REQUIRED:
Associates Degree inRespiratory TherapySciences

MINIMUM EXPERIENCEREQUIRED:
Previous Working Experience inNeonatal Respiratory care, or successful completion of departmentspecific orientation including skills validation of competenciesfor the duties and responsibilities of thislevel.

Must have 2 years workexperience as an NICU RRTTherapist.

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATIONREQUIRED BY LAW:
Registered by the NationalBoard for Respiratory Care and licensed by the Georgia State Boardof MedicalExaminers

QUALIFICATIONS:
Currentcertifications in BCLS, ACLS and NRP. Must be actively practicingand maintaining all required competencies in both adult andneonatal areas.

ADDITIONALPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
NeonatalPediatric Specialist credential from the National Board forRespiratory Care preferred.
