Career Transitions seeks a detail-oriented Corporate Staff Accountant to join a finance team. This on-site role is responsible for maintaining financial records, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting principles and company policies.

The ideal candidate has demonstrated analytical skills, experience with AP/AR, month end, cash management and a keen eye for accuracy.

What you are doing as a Staff Accountant:

Reconcile balance sheet accounts, including cash, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.Assist in month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries and financial statement preparation.Analyze financial statements for discrepancies and work with management to resolve issues.Prepare and maintain general ledger entries, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP.Support the preparation of tax filings, audits, and compliance documentation.Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes as needed.Work closely with accounts payable and accounts receivable teams to ensure accurate reporting.Maintain and update financial records in accounting software systems.Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations.

What you need as a Staff Accountant:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.1+ years of experience in accounting, preferably in a corporate setting.Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP) and Microsoft Excel.Understanding of GAAP and financial reporting principles.Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
